In this video, our Senior NetSuite Consultant, Sarah Meehan, provides details on a change to manufacturing configuration that is being included as part of release 2020.2. Organizations that use NetSuite as their manufacturing ERP will now find a new section in their setup menu that is solely dedicated to manufacturing preferences.
In environments still operating on release 2020.1, the bulk of the manufacturing configuration is performed within Accounting Preferences (Setup > Accounting > Accounting Preferences), which is not particularly intuitive. Once your NetSuite instance is upgraded to 2020.2, you will see a link to Manufacturing Preferences under Setup > Manufacturing:
This new, consolidated interface will allow you to make adjustments to your manufacturing settings in a single place, instead of having to navigate through multiple tabs in the Accounting Preferences section.
