It is important to upgrade the WSDL version used, because:
- When your account is upgraded this year to version 2024.2, the oldest unsupported endpoint version 2017.2 is turned off automatically. Using this endpoint leads to a non-working integration and potential broken business process.
- Oracle NetSuite does not fix bugs in unsupported endpoints.
- The upgrade of your integration from an unsupported version is more time consuming than an upgrade from later supported versions.
- Old and unsupported versions contain obsolete technologies which do not meet current security standards. You might need to change the authentication process of your integration to use Token Based Authentication.
- Benefits of using an updated SOAP endpoint includes:
- Higher number of exposed fields on the records to support the latest business processes
- Order of the returned fields in accordance with the W3C XML schema standard
To ensure that your SOAP web services-based integrations continue to work, and you can get support, you must upgrade to a supported endpoint version.
