Price groups enable you to assign customer-specific price levels for groups of items. For example, you could create a pricing group called Bicycles and associate the pricing group with all of your bicycle items. The price level for a pricing group takes precedence over the customer's price level. It does not take precedence over item pricing. I will show you the way to mass create, add and remove pricing group in this blog.

To create a pricing group:

  1. Go to Setup > Accounting > Setup Tasks > Accounting Lists > New..
  2. In the Add to Accounting Lists window, click Pricing Group.
  3. Enter a Pricing Group name.
  4. Click Save.

To add Pricing Group and Price Level to Customer Record:

  1. Create CSV file with the following headers:
    1. Internal ID - Internal ID of Customers
    2. Pricing Groups - Name of the Pricing Group
    3. Pricing Level - Name of the Price Level
  2. Navigate to Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records
    1. Scan and Upload CSV File
      1. Import Type = Relationship
      2. Record Type = Customers Only

      4. Click Next
    2. Import Options
      1. Data handling = Update
      2. Click Next
    3. Field Mapping
      1. Internal Id <--> Customer: Internal ID
      2. Pricing Group <--> Customer Group Pricing 1: Pricing Group
      3. Price Level <--> Customer Group Pricing 1: Price Level
      4. Click Next
    4. Save Mapping and Start Import
      1. Input Import Map Name
      2. Click Save & Run

To remove all the Pricing Groups found on Customer record > Financial tab > Group Pricing subtab through CSV Import:

  1. Create a CSV Import file with the following headers:
    1. Internal ID = Refers to the Internal IDs of the customers to be updated
    2. Pricing Group = Leave the column blank
    3. Pricing Level = Leave the column blank

  3. Select one file to upload
  4. Click Next
    1. Data Handling : Update
    2. Advanced Options: Overwrite Sublists = True
  5. Click Next. Map the following fields:
    1. Internal ID = Internal ID (Customer folder)
